Akhter joins as Director, Marketing in
Beacon Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

Mohammad Akhter Hussain has recently joined as Director Marketing in Beacon Pharmaceuticals Ltd., the first and the only hi-tech lyophilized anticancer drug manufacturing company in Bangladesh . Prior to this he had been working as General Manager marketing of Beximco Parmaceuticals Ltd.(BPL). After 13 years of successful job experience in BPL Mr. Akhter joined Beacon Pharmaceuticals Ltd . which is one of the finest pharmaceuticals manufacturing facilities in South and South East Asia region. Beacon is a centrally monitored fully automated plant with the help of Building Management System (BMS) of USA . Spread over a huge 8.5 acres of land and having more than 130000 sft covered areas, the Tk.150 crore manufacturing complex has been designed by a reputed European pharmaceuticals consultant. The facilities have been created in order to comply international regulatory requirements like USFDA, UKMHRA, Australian TGA and WHO GMP. Backed by a strong R&D set-up Beacon will manufacture specialized drugs in therapy areas like Cancer diseases, Hormone therapies,   Cardio-vascular and chronic care diseases. 

Mr. Akhter started his career in 1986 as a clinical pharmacist in King Fahad Hospital of Saudi Arabia. Lateron he returned home and joined Beximco pharmaceuticals Ltd. in the marketing department. Due to his outstanding performances he had an excellent career progression in positions like Senior officer, Assistant Manager, Manager, Senior Manager and General Manager Marketing of Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(BPL). Mr. Akhter is an MBA and had an excellent academic track record. He was placed 12 th in the SSC merit list and 2 nd in the Mpharm examination from the University of Dhaka . He made official visits to 20 countries of the world in regard to export business expansion and to attend training sessions, exhibitions, conferences etc.
