Beacon Pharma organizes “Breaking News

Raffle Draw” for physicians

Beacon Pharmaceuticals Ltd, the first hi-tech lyophilized anticancer drug manufacturing facility of Bangladesh organized a Breaking News Raffle Draw program at Bangladesh China Friendship Conference Centre. The program was Presided over by Prof. Dr. M. A. Rashid, President, Bangladesh Society of Hematology. The chief guest of the program was Pro-Vice Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Prof. Dr. M.A Mannan. Major General Dr. A S M Matiur Rahman chief HIV advisor, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare-Bangladesh and Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Hai Director, Ahsania Mission Cancer Hospital was present as special guests. The program was attended by Presidents and secretaries of different specialist doctors association of Bangladesh.

In his welcome address the Managing Director of Beacon Pharmaceuticals Ltd. Mr. Md. Ebadul Karim mentioned that Bangladesh is almost 100% dependent on import of hi-tech anticancer, hormone, vaccines, insulin etc. These imported drugs are highly expensive and unaffordable for many patients. Beacon Pharma has been established to manufacture such advanced technology products and to offer life saving drugs at affordable prices. Mr. Ebadul disclosed that after meeting country’s demand Beacon pharma will export its products to the USA, South America, Europe, Middle East, Africa & Asia pacific. The Project Manager Engineer Biplob Sarker made a presentation on world class manufacturing facilities of Beacon Pharma. He disclosed that Beacon has been engineered by European consultants in order to be one of the finest facilities in the world. It will have the best machineries and Quality Control equipments from Europe and USA. Beacon will have the best Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) to be an environment friendly company. The chief guest of the program Prof. Dr. M.A Mannan appreciated and thanked Beacon Pharma entrepreneurs for such an innovative idea to manufacture first ever anticancer drugs in Bangladesh. Other speakers also hoped that people suffering with deadly cancer diseases will now get world class treatment at affordable cost.

The Director Marketing of Beacon Pharma Mohammad Akhter Hussain informed that a promotional campaign named Breaking News was designed to introduce Beacon Pharma among physicians. As a part of the campaign, this Breaking News Raffle Draw has been arranged. He thanked the guests for their presence in the program. At the end of the program an attractive Raffle Draw was held to select ten lucky winners among all doctors of the country. The winner of the first prize, two Dhaka-Kolkata return air tickets with three days stay was Dr. Jannatul Hosna of Dhaka.
