Ahsan joins as Head of Quality Assurance in
BEACON Pharmaceuticals Ltd.
Ahsan Ali Shaikh has recently joined as Quality Assurance Manager in Beacon Pharmaceuticals Limited, the first and the only hi-tech lyophilized anticancer drug manufacturing company in Bangladesh. Prior to this he had been working as Quality Control Manager of Square Pharmaceuticals Limited in the plant of Kaliakoir unit. After 17 years of successful job experience in Fisons (Bangladesh) Ltd., ACI Limited and Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd. Mr. Ahsan joined Beacon Pharmaceuticals Ltd. which is one of the finest pharmaceuticals manufacturing facilities to be found any where in the world. Beacon is a centrally monitored fully automated plant with the help of Building Management System (BMS) of USA. Spread over a huge 8.5 acres of land and having more than 130000 sft covered areas, the manufacturing complex has been designed by a reputed European pharmaceuticals consultant. The facilities have been created in order to comply international regulatory requirements like USFDA, UKMHRA, Australian TGA and WHO cGMP. Backed by a strong R&D set-up Beacon will manufacture specialized drugs in therapy areas like Cancer diseases, Hormone therapies, Cardio-vascular and chronic care diseases.
Mr. Ahsan started his career in 1987 as a Microbiologist in Fisons (Bangladesh) Limited. Later on he joined ACI Limited and Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd. in the Quality Assurance department. Due to his outstanding performances he had an excellent career progression in positions like Senior officer, Assistant Manager, Manager and Senior Manager of different pharmaceuticals. Mr. Ahsan is an M.Sc and had an excellent academic track record. He obtained First class and stood 4th in order of merit in the M.Sc examination from the University of Dhaka. He made official visits in different countries of the world in regard to conduct the GMP audit in many API manufacturing industries and to attend training sessions, exhibitions etc.
